We are home - safe and sound. We had one of the most outstanding trips of our lives. We spent a week in the Rockies. We stayed at Estes Park - the gateway and dropped down to Colorado Springs for our last couple of days to see the Red Rock formations - and a rattle snake, up close and personal a matter of minutes after a ranger said they hardly ever saw them!
This is a shot of Bear Lake. I ran into a guy that does Photography Workshops (for $800) and he said it was rarely calm. It was like glass the morning that we were there. Just gorgeous.
The trip was not without a slight glitch - or blessing. Poor Tom (the camera caddy) dropped and broke my macro lens. I tried really hard not to cry. Luckily they were all insured - even for breakage. I called my agent and all is fine. I went to Mike's Camera in Colorado Springs the next day and bought a 100mm Canon to replace it! So I went up in the world.
BEAUTIFUL mountains! And the calm lake that mirrors the majestic mountains is perfect! It's hard to tell where the trees end and the lake starts! I'm glad you had such a wonderful trip!
Stunning reflection and scene. Fav. Today I thought I saw you in an airport in NY. I called out Cathy and the lady who looked like you turned and looked at me. It was NOT you, but fun trying to explain to her who I thought she was. Her friend at the table was Cathy ironically:).
Fav!
