Falling - for so many reasons. For all of the obvious ones and for the fact that had been kneeling so many times for interesting angles that I finally understood the "I've fallen and I can't get up" slogan from years ago. Age seems to catch up with me at times when I least expect it. I am going to have to find something sturdy to take along with me. I refuse to not take the shot that I want to take - that this carpet was crying out for.

I have the same problem with the knees. I suggest an inexpensive monopod. Unless you can actually USE a monopod (apparently the trick is learning the tecnique to brace the thing, which is near the top of my photo list!) in which case you can splurge. They telescope compactly, and if you remember to keep them in reach, they make a good "stick" to help you back on your feet. Also, if the ground is "clean" and dry, I often set the camera down until I get back on my feet so it doesn't worry me by swinging wildly on the neck strap.
