I was sitting on my back porch earlier today having a heart to heart with my Creator. It was already 90 degrees in Cincinnati with no breeze. All of a sudden my chimes began to sing. You might tell me that was just a stray breeze wandering through the neighborhood, but I know that it was an open invitation to a two way conversation with the Divine. You might call it meditation, prayer, communing with the Great Unknown. I think that no matter what sort of box we try to put God into we are all praying to the same being. We all worship the same God no matter how we approach.
I am Presbyterian. I married a Catholic boy who is now a very good Presbyterian. I raised an awesome Presbyterian and an Atheist. I love going to Blessed Community services and they lean Baptist. My best friend of 36 years is Jewish. I respect all faiths across the globe and believe that they each have the right to exist and worship in their own traditions.
I love my "God Moments." I can go weeks without having one and I can find God in and around me in everything. My best ones always begin and end with "Thank You."
