When we say good-bye to September and nod to October it is time for cool nights, football and haunted houses. It is time for apple cider/butter, corn mazes and festivals. It is time to put the garden to bed for the winter and to bring in the wind chimes. It is time for my cactus to come back indoors, hopefully without any of our growing lizard population hitching a ride. It is time for fall cleaning and making sure the house is tight for the coming winter. I'm not overly fond of winter, but I love Autumn and watching the leaves begin to turn color. As Anna Jane would say, "Don't wish your days away." I plan to enjoy all of them.
Gorgeous! Love the colourful leaves, can almost smell the smoke of woodfires, taste the hot chocolate. We had an extended summer this year and fall is taking its time - we are nowhere near this level of colour.
