Luck Be a Lady by cdonohoue

Luck Be a Lady

Why lady? Why not man? Who knows. I don't really gamble. I never pulled a handle or sat down at a table during our recent trip to Las Vegas. This was a huge wall mural that I shot. I did bring home different colored dice - if I could only find them. I have a lot of other ways to spend money - like on vacations and fun. That is much more my style than sitting somewhere losing money. I saw way too much of that.....
Cool mural and shot

Nice shot. I am with you about gambling. We have a casino nearby. When we go, we go for dinner. We pass hundreds of people mesmerized by machines or games.

I like it! Interesting and colorful. I am not a gambler either...many more fun things to do outside casinos! Fav.

What a fabulous subject! So much to look at different shapes and colors. someone went to a lot of work to make it so special. Your photograph of it is awesome. I feel pretty much the same as you about gambling. You know those establishments are not in it to give money away

i'm amazed you were able to photograph this. most casinos prohibit photography in "the floor". but the dice do make a good mural though. fabulous. the first time i went to a casino on my own, i earmarked fifty pesos and sat at a blackjack table. i only played based on what i had observed my husband would do. that fifty pesos became 650 pesos and i left before i could like the feel of winning. i've heard too many devastating stories. here in canada, i know of at least 2 tragic ones. and the few times i've gone on vacation in atlantic city and LV, for fun times with my friends, i would earmark $20 and that's it. like you, i have better things to spend my money on. frankly, i prefer to go for a nice dinner than gamble. now, if somebody is willing to give me their money to lose, i'm not averse to that. :-) fabulous shot, cathy.

@summerfield It was a wall mural on the wall of the hotel attached to the casino. It was so cool it caught my eye.
