The Memorial Service is over and the cleanup is done. So many familiar faces came to help us close the doors with grace. We have been blessed with those that have served in our pulpit, sat on our boards, taught our children and raised their voices in song.
I have no idea where each of us will land. I do know that we feel the need of a congregation in our lives. Tom, Andy and I will be going to different churches and trying to find a good fit and figure out the plan that I know that my Creator has for us. Today is a day to celebrate the life and times of the Body of Christ known as Norwood Presbyterian Church. Amen.
This is a very fitting tribute to your church. I hope you all find a new church home where you feel just as much a part of it as you did here. Change is always hard after a "loss" but as you know God is in control and He will guide you on the next leg of journey if you take hold of His hand.
What a wonderful way to end an era... Breaking bread together, then closing the doors with grace. We have found ourselves in need of a new church a couple of times and the Lord provided exactly what we needed, and we pray that we have been a blessing to others as a result. God bless you as your pursue His will.
Lovely to read and I'm sure you will find the right place to belong even if it takes a little time. One day at a time and keep close to the Creator as the days lengthen and the earth rejoices.
