This sculpture sits in a park along the perimeter of the Hollywood-Fort Lauderdale International Airport. It is made of industrial steel tubing materials, and it was designed by David Lee Brown. It represents flight. His concept was a representation of time-lapsed photography of up-lifting motion. The amazing thing is that, as you walk around this sculpture, it appears to continually change shape and form, so much so that at some points it appears to be horizonal and sitting on the base. I have about twelve shots from various angles and each one looks like a completely different sculpture. I tried to put together a collage with just a few of them, because it really is quite remarkable, but having both vertical and horizontal photos didn't work with the free templates I found online. That may have to be a project for another day.
@jamibann@onewing@shannejw@carolmw@kork@randystreat@samae Thank you for the comments on the Airport sculpture. Shanne, I had not thought of making a video while walking around it. That is a very good idea because it would really show how it appears to morph and change as you move around it. It really is quite amazing and hard to understand just how it works when the sculpture itself is absolutely stationary.
