This is Garrett's fourth year singing in the Florida Singing Sons Boyschoir. Pictured are three of his fellow choir members during rehearsal prior to their performing for the Coral Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce's gala. The young man featured in front is the choir's Treble section leader.
A wonderful shot of these young men. I love to hear boys choirs. Our choir director's son went to Princeton NJ to sing in one until his voice changed. Now as an adult, he's a bass or baritone, and sings professionally.
@randystreat Thank you for your comment. This boys choir has been in existence for over 40 years. It used to be that the boys left once their voices changed, which was really hard on those who had bonded with their fellow choir members and who loved to sing. Now, we have an additional group called "Second Generation." When their voices change, they can graduate to "2G" and continue their singing and music studies in the more mature young men's group. The boys start in 3rd grade, and a number of them stay for all 10 years until they graduate high school.
@samae Thanks for your comment and asking about my son's singing of the National Anthem. It all went very well. We were very proud of him, and it was a special day to remember.
Thak you for you visit and nice comment . Appreciate this very much.
