Part of living in South Florida is getting used to stepping outside and being greeted by lizards of all types and sizes. This is a good size Common Basilisk Lizard, also known as the Jesus Christ Lizard, due to its ability to raise on its back legs and run across the surface of bodies of water.
fabulous shot. They used to scare me when I first moved to Florida going out the door they would scamper everywhere. Now I do not notice most of the time. This is a perfect shot.
