I can't help myself.. I feel like a kid in a Candy Store. This Hawk was perched on a pole in a closed stores parking lot. I spotted him and had to sit through 2 red lights. I got to him and was almost directly under him when I started shooting. I have several, but this is by far my favorite. Thank you for all the wonderful comments on the previous hawks..
I hear you Cheryl... I'm like that with flowers! I went on a nature macro day recently, the idea was to shoot dragonflies and butterflies/small insects... but I kept wandering off to clumps of ragwort, wildflowers and grasses! This certainly is a proud and handsome hawk and your patience was rewarded... great photo!
