More then 100 years ago...

...My grandfather wrote his graduation thesis to become a profesor in Croatian culture and language. The thesis was about traditions of certain area, folks (people) poems and naratives...(I have problems trying to translate it in eng)...

Anyway, I was asked by my relatives to scan this thesis for some local and academic purposes, and I was happy I could help. I just finished the project today. 500 pages. Since it was not a standard size, and I couldn't put this heavy book on a scanner, I used smartphone aplication--- fantastic.

Now, All I have to do would be to read it, to learn some of my family and homeland history and culture. I am not sure this qualifies as summer read for it is pretty archaic, and hand written... In the winter, perhaps...
Wonderful!

That is amazing. It must have been a lot to do 500 pages! Great photo and so special to have the work of your grandfather in his own writing.

Lovely photo - really important to keep these records, for both family and social value... I doubt he'd have imagined his granddaughter using such technology to make an electronic version of his book!

@tommykeith @bkbinthecity @paul10 @dorsethelen @zinnia @tracys @alinz @lizhammond @chipsngravy @lyndamcg @ziggy77 @inthecloud5 @littlequeenie @granagringa @olivetreeann @wendyfrost @shylaine3304 @linnypinny @onewing, Thank you all for such a great response and nice comments. Thanks for favs and for getting me on a TP and PP: I never met my grandfather, he died few years before I was born, but I've heard some great stories. I feel good about making a piece of him go further to future using science fiction technology... (iIthink now handwriting 500 pages sound like SF)

How amazing to have access to this wonderful vintage document. I really like his penmanship. Something I'm sure the kids of today won't understand. You captured history with your fantastic image. :)
