What would be the name of this color in real world? Red-purple-brownish?
There should be a story behind each garden plant. That probably takes time to collect meaningful or funny stories related to our flowers, and I am well on my way to collect them.
Last summer my friends went for a trip to Netherlands and they brought us "black" tulip bulbs. I planted them, and bought some more black bulbs in local store (imported from Netherlands), to have few more then just one. The original gift turned out to be pale pink as you can see it in the background, and the one I bought in the store turned out gorgeously black...
