This is an etched crystal candy dish that I have had for years and years. I've taken it to photography class with me before when we did a glassware shoot. I put a red shirt behind it and shot close up on one of the etchings.

Beautiful pattern for your photograph, and the red comes through without overpowering the glasswork. It's nice to experiment successfully, and I envy you the classes you've had the opportunity to take!
Great picture! I don't remember you bringing it to class but maybe I didn't go to that one. This is really pretty! Who knows what you can find around the house.
