Bunches

There are between 40 and 50 caterpillars in one of my aquariums. They are eating me out of house and home lol. I put 5 of these gigantic leaves in there last night before I went to bed and they were gone this morning. Put 5 more in this morning and they are almost gone.

Wow, hungry little buggers, aren't they?! I suppose it makes sense with all the growing and changing they're doing right now.

It's hard to believe that something this small can have such a big appetite but I have seen entire trees stripped of their foliage but caterpillars so it shouldn't surprise me. Good shot of your fellas.

Wow! I know they're voracious! Not these but other caterpillars ate all the leaves off the azaleas this spring. I have over 50 bushes and they were down to the nubs!

What kind of leaves are they

Thank you everyone!!

@tesssa They are milkweed leaves. That is the only thing that Monarch caterpillars can eat.

@chevymom The plant that I have here in South Australia is a milk weed plant as well but only has fine narrow leaves.
