Severe light from the sun and heavy shadows, but I love the composition and the detail in the water. I took this in film too but had issues with focus, this one is digital - shot in black and white and slightly darkened afterwards.

thanks! My first time in South Spain, I have been to Madrid, Bilbao, Barcelona before but this was Alicante and it was beautiful, very hot! now I am back in the UK and it is less than half the temperature in degrees C!!

I have a spanish friend here in Manchester and she is always moaning about the weather and the bad food!! ;) I had a great time, I love to swim in the sea, I have to do it every year at least once.
this is my favourite of your 3 images of Megan in Alicante. The B&W works with the severe lighting. It would have been interesting to get a colour image with some fill light - either from the flashgun or a reflector held by a stand - just to see the difference and if you could soften it
I was immediately draw to this photo. nice work. Her face doesn't seem completely in focus, like the water in front of her does. I really like the hard lighting, sometime it can work very well in b&w like in this photo. I love that you captured her almost intense looking expression.
whooahhhh! This is amazing! It has an old movie scene vibe about it. I can't put my finger on it, but it definitely looks like a scene out of a B&W movie. awesome. FAV!
this is such a fantastic picture! Not sure if i had already made a comment on that one or not, but I really love it.
It's one of my favourite from your work
