We took the car over to the service centre this morning to get a new headlight fitted. My husband already had his photo of the day, taken at sunrise, so suggested I walk around the car yard and see what I could find to photograph. A new car would be nice, but I wasn't very inspired by those so went looking for other things. After a few minutes a salesman came to ask me what I was up to, as he'd been watching me photograph this and that, including a yellow flower at the edge of the car yard. He pointed me to the other side of the building where there were some red ones, and told me how he had had to throw out several pairs of trousers after getting the pollen on himself. He hadn't realised where the marks were coming from. He said even drycleaning couldn't get them out!
The red flowers had died but I found more yellow ones beside a wall, so this is my photo of the day.
@thistle@happypat Thanks for your comments. This had a much better background than the lily I'd been photographing on the other side of the car yard, so the salesman did me a favour. :-)
