Another busy day with not much time for photography. We have moved our parking spot again, and didn’t get back to base until after dark, so I walked around outside and took a couple of pics of our immediate surroundings.
Mum (85y) has developed a nasty cold, so we made several phone calls this afternoon to organise for her to have a swab for Covid-19. Apparently the criteria changed again a couple of days ago, so although the national Healthline is still advising anyone with respiratory symptoms to get tested, and advising there should be no charge for testing or a consultation, the local GP practices are reluctant to test unless you have been overseas recently or had contact with someone who has. Mum had attended a funeral earlier in the week and couldn’t know for sure, so we thought better safe than sorry. We were also told that if the dr decided the test wasn’t necessary we would be charged for the consultation! Thankfully they decided to do the test. We had to wait five days for the result but it finally came through negative on Weds 1st July.
