It's John's birthday today but we spent most of the day driving from here to there. For some reason the lunchtime traffic was much worse than usual! We had to pack up and move from our current spot which involved some juggling of vehicles. We attended a work function for me in the afternoon, which I would have been happy not to go to, but John unselfishly insisted, lol. We then drove an hour south to Rotorua to stay for a few days. Thankfully we managed to find a nice pub meal which meant we didn't have to cook a late dinner.
This photo, although far from perfect, is probably the best tui photo I have yet. We had parked the car near some trees and it came to visit the flax.
