June 26th, 2018: It was a cold wet day but we had appointments to attend in town. While I was sitting in the car waiting for my sister to return I spotted this intriguing pattern. I have tweaked it in Lightroom to make it as as close as possible to what I saw.

Graham, I'm finding that it comes with practice, paying attention to what's around me and wondering how that might look on camera. Of course you have to have a camera with you! In this case we were parked outside an office window with venetian blinds, and I was intrigued by the way the water drops running down the car windscreen were distorting the parallel lines. It also involves some serendipity (if that's what you call luck of being in the right place at the right time), the added bonus here was the building behind me being reflected in the window.
