Rainy days..

Today has been a nice lazy riany day.. I'm a crochet'er but trying to pick up knitting as I like the way some projects look that were knitted :). So far I am enjoying it.. But it took many cast ons and and rip aparts before I could manipulate 2 needles vrs. one hook.. I liken the efforts of this looking somewhat like Bambi trying to walk :P.. I'm waiting on magic loop needles to come in the mail on Tuesday to start the project I'd like.. NEVER try to learn on magic loop needles when the needles are bent and the loops are stiff :P - its super frustrating and so not worth it ;)! I've learned the hard to just wait until the better needles come in and just sit and learn different stitches while ya wait for them :P. So SO Much frustration was had with the icky needles yesterday!
Wonderful shot and I love the story. I'm a knitter too and can feel your pain:) Good luck with the Magic loop needles! I hope you post your project as you work on it.

Nice picture! I love the color of your yarn!
Hope your needles arive and work out well!
I used to knit a lot, but in the Texas weather, nobody needs a knitted sweater... I like crochet for little animals/flowers etc - but am working on a quilt at the moment.

Another great eye for the unique angle on everyday living.

Great shot, I used to be a knitter many years ago.

Lovely shot. My great aunt spent many summers when I was a child trying to teach me to knit and crochet, but I never could get the hang of it and dropped far more stitches than I ever caught on!

Great perspective. I have never been very good at either.

You've certainly made a good start. Magic loop! Not for me. Give me 3 or 4 double points or two circular. I like the lovely blues you've chosen and the nice patterns you've included.

Wonderful compostion and colors. I also like how the needles look like a rabbit ears antenna which connects with the TV on the wall in the background. Plus so cool how the patch of blue in the upper left echoes the blue of the yarn. Beautiful.
