many months ago, i shot a dandelion using an extension tube (http://365project.org/christiq/365/2011-02-24). today, i took a similar shot with my new macro lens to compare.

there's really no comparison, even if you overlook the fact that the first shot is overprocessed. the detail in today's shot is fantastic (despite being moderately cropped). i can't wait for spring. i see a lot of bugs in my future!
