On my way to shoot some nature shots just outside the Winter Springs Town Center, I spotted a group of young teens splashing about in one of the community fountains. It sure looked like fun but a rather unusual sight because it was during school hours & something you don't usually see. I stopped to shoot some photos of them and they in turn gathered in a group to pose for me. They were so thrilled that they would be in my 365 project. Turns out that they are graduating seniors of Winter Springs High School and were celebrating "Seniors Day." Oh, to be young again!
Excellent shot, you have caught their joy in the shot! These are the times of their lives. My granddaughter will be a senior next year, time sure has flown by.
@grannysue Thanks, Linda. My oldest granddaughter, Hannah recently turned 16 and is a Sophomore. Her boyfriend is a Junior so she'll be going to her first prom in a couple weeks (Jr. Prom). I adore teens----the nice ones, anyway ;-)) Appreciate your friendship and comments.
@steeler Yes, it was. 87 degrees and sunny. @netkonnexion Thanks Net....I envy them in a way. I'd love to be splashing in a fountain...LOL @mittens Thanks, Marilyn. They were so cute and eager to please. @kerristephens Thank you, Kerri
They do look quite happy to be missing school...not sure how that is a celebration of 'Seniors Day' but any reason to splash in the water is a fun time!
This is beautiful. My two sons were seniors last year and this year, so I've been surrounded by their energy abd dreading how empty the house will be come august
@marlboromaam Thanks, Maggie. Well I still feel adventurous, but at my age I think if went romping around in a fountain I'd be hauled off to the Looney Bin.
@tobi@carolmw@melorac@fungirlslim@ladydi53 Thank you all for commenting. I think on Seniors Day, they just decide what they want to do for fun on their day off. This particular group decided that spending time in a local fountain would be a great way to spend a day where the temps reached 87 degrees.
@netkonnexion Thanks Net....I envy them in a way. I'd love to be splashing in a fountain...LOL
@mittens Thanks, Marilyn. They were so cute and eager to please.
@kerristephens Thank you, Kerri
I enjoyed reading all your comments this morning. Thanks again for your faithful support & visits!
