I haven't been out to shoot in over a week so I was having withdrawals! After an appointment in Lexington I decided to go to the Arboretum, even though I knew the chance of rain was pretty inevitable. And so....it started pouring as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. I made my way to shelter as an emergency announcement for a thunder storm warning came over the loud speaker. It was a pretty threatening storm but, as any other photographer would do, I waited for over an hour--hoping to get some shots of rain-drenched petals!
As soon as there was a break in the rain I took my chances. Donned in a poncho, I hurried through the gardens like an excited child. I was happy that I got to shoot for quite awhile before the rain started again.
So, even though every day can't be full of sunshine, there's happiness to be found even on rainy days.
