A few years ago when our lives were changing a lot, I had a long talk with Olivia to reassure her of her place in my heart, to tell her that I had wanted to be a mom more than anything else and that she had made that dream come true. At the end of the talk, she looked at me with those giant shining eyes and said, "That's my superpower...I'm a mommy maker!"
