@pistache Thanks, Clare! I tend to use my 85mm prime (I call it my beauty lens) for these up-close shots and I think it, along with the lighting, helps create that softer look. I'm definitely drawn to portraits and seeing if I can bring out some aspect of the subjects' personality.
