After a long month of black and white photos, I was itching to created a colorful shot. So I hiked up to the highest saturation setting on my camera and shot away at these marbles. I thought the results were going to be ugly but it ended up turning out really cool with bright, saturated colors! I just gotta figure out how to cut down on glare :/
Can you tell me how to cut down the glare when you find out.... I always have a problem with glass too! Great answer to colour after b and w, like the composition too!
I didn't even know that was possible to DO! Wow, learnt something new! I know how to do it in lightroom but the effects seem a bit false, definitely going to have to try it with the camera. Wonderful shot as well!
@jackie8 - Yes, I'll definitely let you know Jackie. Thankfully the glare doesn't break the shot too much but it would be nice to cut the glare down a bit. I'm gonna have to do some research! Thank very much for the kind words!
Thank you so much! Interesting that you mentioned the background. It's actually one of my shirts! I used a long exposure and moved my shirt slightly left and right as the shutter was open to get those soft, steaming colors.
@ejlockett - Haha yep! I actually learned about that technique in the 365 forums. I mean I knew my camera could do it, just never thought about adjusting those settings. Still, sometimes I'll increase the saturation in post-processing but there's something really fun about doing it in-camera and seeing the results right away if you know what I mean. Thanks for visiting and commenting on my photo!
Thanks everyone for taking time to check out my photo and comment on it! So happy to be able to share this bright cheerful shot with you all!
