These little candies are called Sour patch Kids. They're one of my favorite snacks while at the movies. Love how that initial bite is sour and then turns into a chewy, sweet candy. They were first produced in the late 1970’s in Ontario, Canada. At first, Sour Patch Kids were shaped like martians to take advantage of the space enthusiasm of the 70’s. Then they transformed into children to capitalize on the Cabbage Patch Kids craze of the 1980s. They recently added a new blue-colored berry flavor. Guess you could say there’s a new Kid on the Sour Patch block. :)
