(Day 225) - SaturnDay

Thanks a ton for all the awesome comments on 'FlyDay' yesterday! I noticed you all were bugging out over his eyes! Haha. Today's pun on the day of the week is 'SaturnDay'! Saturday is named after the planet Saturn but I wonder why the decided to remove the letter 'N' at the end?

Anyhoo, beside the Earth, Saturn is easily one of my favorite planets. It's rings are captivatingly beautiful! I created my own little Saturn with these round plastic halves and a compact disc. It can't compare to Saturn's magnificent rings but a CD does make some colorfully funky rays! ◠‿◠

Very clever! I think the planet was named after the god Saturn and in turn Saturday after both. As it usually is with language the word was compressed when the n was dropped- making it easier to say and quicker to write- by about 1 second! I like your colorful version of the magnificent planet.
