(Day 18) - Sun Drenched Balcony

Now we're venturing just outside my bedroom. This is where the window in yesterday's photo leads to. It's my most common spot for evening photos.

We have patio chairs, air condition unit, our cool grated table. I like to use the trees & plants in my backgrounds. They make great bokeh when the light hits them just right. Also, although buildings get in the way, this is still a nice location for sunrise & sunset photos.

Do you see Fred the Frog on our balcony fence enjoying the view? :)
What a great space. I see Fred!

This really looks like So Cal. I used to live there and this is so reminiscent of that time Love the palm trees. I noticed Fred right away. I thought maybe he was sneaking up on you! Haha!

That looks like a very relaxing place to...well, relax. And yep, there's Clyde Fred soaking in the setting sun.

These three images say so much about the role of light, props (i.e., friends), and the creativity that goes into your work. Very cool.

Be careful Fred- you may have sticky feet but that balcony looks to be pretty high up! Nice view!

@olivetreeann - Hahaha that made me laugh so much! Duly noted, he'll try to be extra careful!

Well I would have missed Fred if you hadn't mentioned about him... Looks like you had a beautiful day, I don't see any clouds and the light looks quite warming. So interesting to see these pics Chris and to read what you have written.. you have made me think about where I photograph as I am always battling with shadows.

I'm sorry to say I'm viewing your shots backwards (from most recent), but this is fascinating to have a tour of your photo spots! And I'm glad you pointed Fred out :)

@stephanies Haha Fred's green color tends to camouflage well. It was such a beautiful day! I battle with shadows too. They can add nice depth to a subject but sometimes they can be so distracting. That's why I like mornings and evenings or finding shade to try to minimize them. It helps!

@kerosene I sometimes do the same thing! I even sometimes read magazines backwards so no biggie. Glad you enjoyed the tour and thanks for all the kind comments!
