This game always reminds me of how horrible I am at video games! Many years ago the son of a friend of ours tried to teach me "Mario Brothers". He patiently showed me how to use the control box, what Mario had to do to get points and avoid being annihilated, and when to jump and not to jump, etc. So I take the control and for the first 3 seconds everything was fine but then... well, after about 10 disasters my little 7 year old friend looks at me with big, honest eyes and says, "Boy Miss Ann you really stink at this game." I'm sure Fred is much better- after all he's getting instructions from the Man himself!
I know who Mario is but beyond that I'll have to leave it to the younger generation to understand. Terrifically clever set up you have accomplished here and nice to know that today is officially Mario day!
This is awesome!! I played some type of Mario game with one of my grandsons about a year ago. He had to keep using his player to come and rescue me. I wasn't very much fun to play with. I'm sure Fred is much better at this stuff than I am. Wonderful set up and colors. Happy Mario day, Fred!
@summerfield - Thank you so much! This is actually a controller for the classic Nintendo 64. They don't really make 'em like this anymore. The transparent look makes it one of my favorite kinds of controllers. That white and silver sounds nice though!

@olivetreeann - Hahaha this story was so adorable. Video games do take some getting used to if you've never played...well unless you're 7. Little kids can pick some things up and be masters at it from the get-go. His honesty was so funn. I give you props for trying though Ann!

Fred is all thumbs yet he's able to deftly manipulate the controller. With Mario looking over his shoulder yet. Impressive! Same for this photo. Very clever Chris.
