(Day 84) - Dive by cjphoto

(Day 84) - Dive

Took this shot over and over and over again until I finally captured the dive and splash...kept missing it even in burst mode. Wasn't as sharp as I wanted but tried my best. Thankfully, I haven't lost my marbles yet...but today I was close! :)
Really fun. I wonder if having a color background or tinting the water would have mad the splash easier to catch?

I have no earthly idea how you even did this but it is wonderful. I like the fact that the only color is the blue in the marbles

@alophoto - You may be right. I didn't even think of that. Perhaps the splash blends into the white so I'll have to give that a try.

You're amazing! I'd say you did a rather masterful job of trhis, and it's pretty darned impressive! I, for one, WOULD have lost my marbles attempting this! It happens every time I try to photograph a flower and the breeze blows! (How does it know?!)

You outdid yourself here. Clearly a complicated setup, and a fun result to have included the splash.

Think this is one of you best. Great image. Fav. Your images have encouraged me me to think of marbles in a different way.

Great job!

@grammyn - Thank you Katy! I used a jug, a white background, shot outside so I could use a fast shutter speed at a high ISO, and lots & lots & lots & lots of shots. From the get-go really wanted the blues to stand out. Glad to hear that I accomplished my goal! :D

@Weezilou - Thank you so much Louise & Ken! Believe me, like I said, I was close! I ran into the same thing when photographing a wild flower today. THATS when the wind wants to start to blow. Haha
