The body language of each family member says so much! (And thanks too for the explanation of how you get these clips to 'stand'. You do some great editing work.)
@lyndemc - Thanks so much Denise and I really appreciate all you recent comments. I love trying to make them imitate the different emotions of humans. Guess it's comes from all those years watching cartoons! Haha. You can learn a lot about exaggerated expression from them. :)
Well done.. tonight we have a set subject at camera club... broken .. this would fit the bill so well ... @dide check this out.. and yes like @gardenfolk ... I think there is a book in the making
@gardenfolk@julzmaioro - Wow, thanks so much. You're not the only ones who have mentioned a book. I'll give it some good thought. I know there's lots of places that make them, I'll have to look into it. :)
@dide Thanks for the kind words and the follow, Dianne!
ok, so now i know the partial secret of your set up. now, do you just use one set of paper clips? because i would think that once you've bent a paper clip that to re-shape them would be a little bit difficult. aces on this, your viewer could actually feel the emotions on each of the clips. i know i do.
@summerfield - Thanks a ton for all the great comments, Summer. Some of the paperclips I can use again if the pose I'm going for is similar. But you're totally right about it being tough to re-shape them after they have been bent (sometimes they break)! Thankfully, I bought a pack of 300 colorful paperclips on Amazon. I'm covered for the month! :D
@cjphoto - i figured as much. every time i find coloured paper clips i save them. it actually makes me feel good when i receive a document with shaped or coloured clips. it doesn't take much to amuse me. great job, CJ.
Oh no, looks like mummy and daddy clip are giving him a good telling off. I looked at the link to the picture to make them stand you must spend ages editing all that out. Sure hope you can find an easier way of doing it, I know I wouldn't have the patience for it.
@stephanies - I'm using sticks to hold them up now. But even though its easier to edit those out then the tape at the bottom...it takes even longer to do it. Probably just have to accept that these kinds of shots take lots of work. It's worth it in the end. :)
It's ok to hold them accountable- somehow they seem to grow from the experience. Accidents happen, but you live through the consequences. Again- it's amazing how much human emotion you get out of these little slip of metal!!
