(Day 362) - Peanut Man by cjphoto

(Day 362) - Peanut Man

For my Monthly Theme in November, I tried to think of ways to photograph some of my favorite snacks in creative ways. It was probably my most enjoyable time with food photography.

Today, had some peanuts and extra paperclips laying around, so decided to create a Peanut Man. I think he's trying to show off his muscles. A good reminder to never mess with a nut! :D

I was actually inspired to create this shot after seeing the work of Nailia Schwarz. She brings peanuts to life in her photography, kinda like my Paperclip Family.
You’re the supreme master of breathing life into otherwise inanimate stuff.
Oh my God! Are you? I hadn’t pictured you, until now, as the creator of the Universe. Assumed you were a very creative, but otherwise normal human being. But come to think of it, the only picture I’ve seen of you is your profile pic that we suppose to be a young Chris. But that could be any kid! Hmmm... CJ actually now seems more solidly real than you do. Ah, what the heck! Always fun over in your project. (Have to ask—did you eat Peanut Man after the photo shoot?)

Fun realization! tank you for referring mrs. Schwarz, though your paper clip family has nothing to envy to her peanut characters.

You play with your food so very well, Chris. LOVE your sense of fun!

I totally agree with @domenicododaro About your skills with the paperclips and with @mcsiegle about your creative genius in general

You are so so creative

Great fun and very creative ! He's cute.

I have two crows that call out to me every morning and I set out peanuts for them. If I did this, do you think they might think it was a scarecrow?!

@mcsiegle - Thanks a ton Mary! You're far too kind! I can assure you, though, I'm definitely not as creative as God. Haha. Just a normal dude who loves to be creative and inspiring others to do the same. I do find it fun imitating Him in 'breathing life' into these inanimate things, at least in photos. I've actually never thought about it that way before.

You know, one day I really should do something about a selfie. CJ is far better at that stuff than I am (and better looking). :P One day though. Maybe this year. Stay tuned.

Mr. Peanut Man escaped the jaws of death. I used super glue to attach his legs and arms. Pretty sure that wouldn't be good for my digestive system. Haha. :D

@domenicododaro - Thanks Domenico!! You're welcome, her work really inspired me. It's enlightening to see the different way photographers all over the world get creative. Speaking of creativity, you're awesome at it too I might add!

@alophoto - I've had plenty of time to practice as a young kid, much to my parent's dismay. :D Thanks so very much Amanda!

@Weezilou - Hahahaha well...ummm...don't think you're 'scarecrows' would last very long. Now all I can imagine are your Peanut Scarecrows dancing and singing to the Wizard of Oz song, "If I Only Had a Brain!" :D :D :D
