Over time, American pennies lose quite a bit a their shininess. However, vinegar and salt can be used to clean them even though still tough to get that original luster. Seems like these happy pennies are pretty pleased with themselves. :)
@gaylewood - Thanks Gayle! Don't know why some see the smiley face as corny. I couldn't imagine life without them! Happy to give ya a smile, my friend.
@gaylewood - Haha I've noticed! I do the same with most of my comments but my captions for my photos always have some kind of smiley face at the end. (Except mine don't have noses like yours). Haha :D
@cjphoto It was going to "cost me a pretty penny" to purchase the pup, plus it had liver colored spots on it so the name penny came to mind. :) It was the half sister to Sophie, my black teacup Schnauzer. The real reason why I passed was, not because of the price, but because of the grooming cost...twice as expensive per month, plus the heartworm/flea meds too. And, now that we are feeding her raw food, I am so glad she doesn't weigh more than 5 pounds! HaHa! Between Sophie and Katniss, it costs $$$ every time I go to buy them food! :)
@gardenfolk - Hahaha with that context the name would have been perfect. Never having owned a dog of my own, I sometimes forget about the cost of taking care of a dog! Wishing you all the best as you take care of your furry family! :D
@guymundo - Thank very much! It may not seem like it, but I have my days (& months) when my creative juices are not flowing at all. Looking at your shots, you're actually pretty creative, my friend! I really like how you capture color!! :D
@cjphoto Despite the costs, I could never be without a furry friend or two! They give so much comfort, companionship and unconditional love. They are both so worth it! :)
@cjphoto Thanks Chris, funnily enough, one thing that I have realised in the short time I've been a 365er is that colour is quite prominent in a lot of my photo's. Can't wait for rainbow week!!
