CJ and I stopped by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art to pay a visit to it's most famous installation, Urban Light by Chris Burden. We took a photo of it about two years ago. This time CJ wanted a shot from the front.
It features 202 restored street lamps from around the 1920s that were once located in Los Angeles and adjacent cities. They're packed tightly together to create a sculpture that reminds one of seeing and walking through Greek or Roman architecture. Seeing it from CJ's perspective really adds to the grandeur. 💡😄
So pretty and it reminds me of the single street lampposts we had on our street, along with palm trees, in Pacific Palisades where I grew up and lived for my first 28 years. The lamp is hiding behind the palm.
@gardenfolk - Thank you! What a great view of your street back then and I enjoyed reading. I can see street lamppost does look similar, thanks for sharing. The lampposts are very strudy!
