(Day 182) - Tall & Sunny

Unusually, we haven't had many hot days in LA this summer. Today, however, was very hot & humid. The sunflowers flowers seem to absolutely love it. Oh that's right...they aren't called SUNflowers for nothing. 🌻

(Although in the insufferable heat, I wouldn't mind a Cloudyflower or a Rainflower right about now. πŸ˜†)
Beautiful!

That bee looks so tiny. Nice shot against the blue sky.

Beautiful shot, Chris! They look so lovely next to that blue sky!

What a terrific perspective for your photo. A nice contrast of yellow against the blue and fabulous to catch that bee in flight. I am hearing about some serious wildfires near LA. I know they are about an hour north of you but I still worry about you.

I like the choice of pov. The sunflowers look lovely against the blue sky.

Like some of my family members, we miss the sun when it’s not there but can easily get too much of it when it does show up.

What lucky little bee, all those gorgeous flowers to himself.

Lovely shot

I always love the combo of a bright yellow sunflower and a blue sky. Lovely! And it looks like the Little Bee Airport is open for business too. Good shot!

The flowers are so beautiful and cheerful. Lovely shot. I think northern CA is getting your heat. We were 102 today and supposed to get to 108 by Wednesday.

@grammyn - Thanks for the concern, Katy! Our heat wave started very abruptly so that may be adding to the fires. But, yes, my family and I are safe as they're pretty far from us. Deep concern for all those affected though.

@shutterbug49 - Thank you! Haha, looks like we shared heat today. We had similar temperatures. It started off cloudy but that burned off so quickly, leaving us with horrid heat and humidity. Stay safe in the heat!
