I had never seen one of these insects when I took the pic. I knew immediately that I didn't like it! It's a Robber Fly and it had one the beautiful Sylvan Hairstreaks in its mouth!!!

Oh no, he's eating the butterfly! I don't like him either! Cool shot of a necessary part of nature though... Everybody has to eat, I guess. I just think he should eat mosquitos or something like that instead. :)
You know, it breaks my little heart to see critters being eaten by others, but then if the predator went hungry, that would make me nearly as sad! I know, I need therapy! LOL
