I knew this afternoon, that whatever pic I chose for my pic of the day, it would be titled "Thankful!"
I am thankful for honest people! I was out with family today and we had a nice lunch at a restaurant and then went to a nearby store to shop. I had been in the store about thirty minutes, when it hit me! I had left my camera bag in the restaurant!!!! It had my camera, two spare batteries, and a memory card with 1400 pics on it!
I didn't know where the rest of the family was, but I went straight out the door and to my truck. I got to the restaurant in one piece and went to look where we had been sitting. No camera! The girl at the counter asked me if I was looking for my camera and I told her yes. She told me they had it!!! I was so thankful!. I just kept telling her how much I appreciated them keeping it safe for me.
This pic is one of my Mother's beautiful sunflowers. She loves flowers and always has a wonderful flower garden.
I am also thankful for my 365 friends!!! Thanks you for your views, comments, and faves! :0)
I know how you must have felt because I've misplaced my camera a few times and I always freak out. Thankfully there are honest people. Beautiful capture of the flower.
Oh! I would have fainted in a panic. So glad they kept it safe for you. And this photo...gorgeous. Love the rich warm tones against blue sky and the "hairs" on the green parts...
Gorgeous shot! It's nice to know that there are still decent people in the world. Something similar happened to me a few years ago - i left my purse in a shopping cart and didn't notice until I got home. In a panic, I returned to the store and asked at customer service if anyone had turned in a purse. Lo and behold, it had and nothing was missing!
Wow Carolyn, that is a happy ending. It makes you feel good when things like this happens, kind of restores hope that there are still honest people around.
Oh wow, I would have had a TOTAL heart attack if I left my camera somewhere! Thank God for honest people:) And fav for this beautiful sunny shot, your composition is awesome too!
Gorgeous shot! The colors are beautiful! I'm so glad you got your camera back! I'm always worried about losing mine and I finally got it insured! whew! So glad for honest people!
@nikkers I still can't believe I forgot it! I wear my camera bag constantly. I only took it in the restaurant, so I could look at pics I had taken earlier. It won't happen again! I won't take it off. I was really lucky today!
What a big relief for you so glad your story had a happy ended and it does indeed confirm there are still honest people around. And your shot is a stunner.
Oh, what a scary thing happening! I once had something similar. I forgot mine on the bench of a dolphin-show. I went running back when I realized and it was no longer there. Then I asked a member of their staff and they told me somebody, a stranger, gave the camera to them and I got it back! All may holiday-pictures were on it! I was so thankful and relieved and I sure know what you must be feeling! And such a beautiful picture to match that feeling!
Oh I can completely understand your emotions on this Carolyn - firstly the panic and the dread and then the gratitude. I love reading stories like this - it confirms my belief that there are millions of good people out there. It also confirms my faith in karma - good things do happen to good people.
Absolutely stunning. So glad you were able to recover your camera. That panicked feeling is just horrible. There are still lots of good people in the world. A FAV for me.
