When I first saw this little treefrog, it was trying to take a nap. I woke it up moving leaves around. It decided to leave, so I gently grabbed it. I stood there a minute trying to figure out how I could get more pics. My husband was home, so I took the frog to the house and enlisted his help. We took it back to same tree and put it on the leaves. It still didn't want it's pic taken, but it didn't jump too far into the tree. Jeff held branches out of my way and I got several pics, before my new little friend disappeared into the leaves. It was nice having an assistant!
This is a Cope's Gray Treefrog. From what I read about it, I was really lucky to get to see it. They usually stay in the tops of the trees. When they sing, it sounds like crickets. Now I know what I'm hearing at night. :0)
Thank you so much for your nice comments and faves for yesterday's butterfly pic! I did see a few butterflies today and got a few pics, but the little frog won pic of the day! :0)
I kept seeing this photo when I couldn't comment (like at work, not that I ever ever go to 365 at work!), so I haven't told you yet that I love this! So cute! We have them here to but I've never gotten to see one. :-)FAVE!
see he made the TOP 20!!!!! Yay!
