First snow by cjwhite

First snow

We had our first snow today. It didn't stay around very long, but it was pretty while it lasted.

Thank you so much for your kind comments and faves on my recent cat pics!!! Some of you have asked how many I have. I have enough to be called a Crazy Cat Lady. LOL! I live on five acres, so they have plenty of room to run around. I've had stray cats come to my home more than once and I always end up feeding them. My daughter says there is a sign somewhere on my property that says Cat Sanctuary. :0)
We've had some light snow that didn't stick around. But, that may change by Friday. Be proud to be a Crazy Cat Lady - the cats need all the support they can get. ;-)

Really nice capture of falling snow. This could be a Christmas card!

Yay for snow! Ali got to see snow briefly last night, and it made her week. It didn't stick at all, but she was still excited.

Beautiful snowy composition. Great outdoor buildings to make this look like a Christmas card! If I had your acreage, I'd be a "cat lady" too. :)

I would LOVE To have all that property around me. I was going to comment the following comment on Facebook, but cut it and put it here, where it belongs: "This was not today....was it? I have one word for this photograph: "Gorgeosity!" Hee hee I don't think that is a word though. "

Very nice shot. I hate to see it come, but I do love to look at it.

@espyetta Yes, it was today. It didn't stay around. It was a really wet snow. So far in my project, I have taken and posted my pic on the same day in my 365 album. I've barely made it before midnight a couple of times. I haven't used any fillers, either. :0)

Lovely winter scene. I really like the thin white blanket on the ground. This chilly setting is such a contrast to the steamy weather we have had over the last few days.

love the comp of the shot, cute little red shed, awesome place for a cat sanctuary.
December 8th, 2011

@cjwhite Oh wow....Carolyn! That is great! I sometimes time shift and take the photo one day, edit (or not) and post it the next day. A few times I have used filler from more than one day out....most of the times I try to date search my photos and post them for the day they were shot, but maybe just not on that day....I get tooo busy!

December 8th, 2011
Beautiful snow scene, I think we'll get some snow in the next couple of days. I'm in two minds about it, I don't want snow as it makes getting about a lot more difficult but I also look forward to taking some snowy photos
December 8th, 2011
very pretty country scene! My husband jokes that when I retire he's going to make a sign for our yard 'Oodles of Poodles' :). I am allergic to all other furry things :(
December 8th, 2011
so very pretty. At least you don't have to fake it like i did (my fake photo pic from a couple of days ago!!) Beautiful shot!

December 8th, 2011
Ah! Wonderful. Great shot. First snowfall is lovely - round here the entire road system comes to a halt though! LOL. The English in SE England cannot seem to handle snow!
December 8th, 2011
Really pretty!
December 8th, 2011
Soo pretty! I don't want any though.. noo! Haha. My girls want snow, crazy girls they are. It's too cold already that I want to hibernate haha. Really feeling the cold this year :o/
December 8th, 2011
Beautiful. I was disappointed that we didn't get any. By this time last year it had snowed. The little red building helps us know it isn't black and white. You really got it coming down hard.
December 8th, 2011
Isn't that stunning! Trees, snow and all framed by cute buildings! Looks like the snow is just floating down.
December 8th, 2011
This is beatiful! Looks like a painting!
December 9th, 2011
What a beautiful winter capture. And as long as you have room and food enough for all, cat on!
December 9th, 2011
great capture of snow falling!
December 9th, 2011
Very interesting snow shot because it's still snowing, making it look like it's a bit surrealistic.
December 9th, 2011
It looks cold, and brrrr and pretty.
December 10th, 2011
Beautiful scene!
December 10th, 2011
Great capture of that early snow!
December 10th, 2011
So magical! Hope it will come here as well, but it doesn't look like it...
