I got an early present from Santa last night. My mom gave me a zoom lens for my new camera! :0)
I really want to get good bird pics, so I went out with my new toy early this morning. I walked around the yard, taking some practice shots and looking for birds. No birds anywhere! I see lots of birds when it's cloudy, so you would think they would be out when it's sunny. Nope!
I did finally find some birds and got some pics. I love the new lens, but I need lots of practice!!! I need to learn how to keep it steady. It's really heavy! :0)
This is baby Buddy trying to help me find birds. He was in the dogwood tree. I took about 50 bird pics, and you get a cat pic. LOL!
I'm not sure what I'll be taking pics of tomorrow. We're going to finish Christmas shopping and get our tree! :0)
THANK YOU for the wonderful responses to yesterday's Christmas pic of Baby Blue!!! I really appreciate it!!!!! :0)
@robv Thank you! I have two more that look like him. I have another male named Other Buddy and a female named Little Buddy. I've had Little Buddy for awhile. She's an inside cat and the best behaved cat I've ever had! :0)
My BW guy is Bootsy, named by my daughters for his white feet. All my cats are inside cats, too many Coyotes and Bobcats patrolling the neighborhood. Then there are the cars along the main street behind the house, it's worthwhile shoveling the litter box rather than a backyard burial.
Did you do any processing to this other than monochrome? Because there's something about it that just looks slightly unreal (in a good way, don't worry, lol) and I love it! Great shot - congrats on the new baby:)
I don't know if I can explain it properly, but something about the detail and crispness of the delicate surroundings (especially those leaves in the top left corner) have an almost, I don't know, HDR look to them? I can't really explain it, but I really like it.
another great photo! You certainly have a knack. I have years worth of cat photos, but only 2 or 3 that I'd consider frame-able...and you do it daily!!
You will LOVE the zoom. I keep it on my camera about 80 percent of the time. Maybe more! This b adn w of a b and w cat is awesome! Your cats are so "helpful" ....hee hee Had to fav it. I cannot believe he is perched on such small limbs!
Very beautiful B+W. Great capture
