Pop of red

I really like the pop of red in all the gray. On the dreary, cloudy days, the cardinals stand out. I'm a color addict, so they make me smile.

I love cardinals. There is something striking when they perch as a mating pair -- the reds of the male and the browns and orange beak of the female. They are really beautiful birds.

Gorgeous composition, Carolyn. The pop of red is perfect. Your pov is right on. What a great capture. I just got a 300mm lens. But I sure can't get this kind of clarity. Did you use a tripod for this?

@karenann Thanks! No, I don't use a tripod with the birds. They are too fast for it. I have to move around a lot.
