This male Downy Woodpecker was very cooperative in posing for me today. I can't say the same for my Red-bellied Woodpecker. I've been trying to get an upside down pic of him for the theme. He doesn't even want a rightside up pic taken this week. LOL!
Thank you so much for your nice comments on yesterday's bird pics!!! :0)
Gorgeous catch on this one . . love his colors! Beautiful textures. Just wait . . I'll just bet you're going to get the Woodpecker upside-down before the week is over. :)
Great focus on this. I've had both male and female at the suet feeder but can't get a sharp picture. And the Red Bellied Woodpecker flies away when I approach the window. This is beautiful.
@angievega Thank you! I haven't seen a Northern Flicker here yet. I really want a pic of a Pileated Woodpecker. I saw one once from my kitchen window, but it was gone by the time I made it outside. ;0)
I agree with everyone above! They have said it all! You are so good at this and I know you will get the upside down shot as well! Beautiful pic that I think will end up on PP for sure!
I just read that you're not using a tripod! You're focus is stunning! I know I didn't use a tripod when I went to photograph the bald eagles - and then maybe about 2 percent of my shots turned out in sharp focus. Great job!!
i love these photos =) i love animals
Beautiful check;
Sweet shot check;
Day after theme closes upside down elusive bird to appear - oh yes check check you bet:0)
