I've been wanting to get a pic of this scene forever. We pass it, when we go to the next town. It's been a family joke that it had to be the perfect day for the pic.
The grass had to be cut, the horses needed to be in front, and there needed to be big, fluffy clouds in a blue sky.
Today it was as close as it gets, I think.:0)
Thank you for your kind comments on yesterday's pics!!! :0)
My hubby is on vacation and we spent a wonderful day looking for pics. I'm posting one from a state park in my other album.
Where is this and why is it so special to you, Carolyn? Yes, this is what we need to know. The solitary nature of the farmsteads against that sweep of hills and the cut grass with the copse on the right is appealing against the backdrop of the huge clouds, that's for sure. I've just had a flashback to 'Little house on the prairie.'
@sabresun Matt, it's on the road I live on. We pass by it often. I've always thought the house looked so pretty sitting atop the hill. I would love to go up there sometime. I know the view has to be spectacular. I don't know the people that live there. I just love the way it looks when the horses are grazing in the pasture. :0)
I missed this one yesterday Carolyn. What a breath of fresh air, this scene (sun? What the heck is that? I haven't seen it in weeks!) Thank you for posting - so beautiful.
You really take me back with this one. Wonder if my Grandfather's house is still standin? Not as grand as this one but is high on a hill. He built most of it himself. I can still remember him finishing boards upstairs when l was very small. I remember watching the electricity being connected to the house when l was about 4 years old. l really loved "Pa's" house.
