Today is my birthday and it started off with a phone call my youngest daughter, Alissa. She sang Happy Birthday to me! It was worth being woke up!
When I got on facebook, I had lots of well wishes from my friends, many who are here on the 365. :0)
My oldest daughter, Leah, had taken a pic of my grandbabies holding a sign that said," Happy Birthday C! We love you!" I teared up, of course.
I also got texts during the day from family and friends.
Jeff had the day off, so we went out for a wonderful lunch at one of my favorite places.
We spent the rest of the day on a hunt for camera stuff, because my Mom gave me birthday money. I looked everywhere for a crystal ball. No luck, so I'm going to order one from Amazon.
The coolest thing that happened today was I got a gift from a total stranger! We went to pawn shops to look for camera lenses. There is a nice one owned and operated by police officers. They didn't have any lenses, but one of the owners gave me a Minolta XG-7 35mm camera made in 1977! It belonged to him and he said he would like to give it to someone that would use it! I thought he was joking at first, but he wasn't! I walked out with the camera, camera bag, telephoto lens, a star filter which will fit my Rebel, and the original manuals with it!!!! I can't wait to play with it. We bought film, but we need to get a battery. :0)
Our family celebration will be on Sunday at my Mom's. I can't wait!
I didn't get to take many pics today. It was raining most of the day, but I did get to take pics of this train and train tracks. My first for my project. I have a pic of the conductor, too. I'll share more tomorrow. I'm really tired!!!! I'll catch up with everyone tomorrow!
