I got my 50mm lens in the mail today! The mail comes around lunch time, so I didn't get to play with as much as I'd like.
I did find out I can take cool insect pics with it, but I liked this one of Fuzzy best. She's probably thinking we really need to mow the grass. The rain and warm weather has made our yard grow really quickly!
I got my macro extension tubes today, too. I had to wait for Jeff to get home to play with them, because I couldn't figure out how to attach them. LOL! They're going to be a lot of fun!!!
Thank you so much for your kind responses to yesterday's pics of Lorelei. Grandchildren remind us how much we have to be thankful for!!! :0)
Sweet kitty, she looks young and in her element. That long grass holds so many interesting critters to play with, I'm sure she's fine with the status quo.
Gosh, Carolyn! I am so jealous! I've wanted a 50 forever; almost as long as I've wanted my macro lens. I have to wait though and be patient. This is a beautiful shot of Fuzzy! Total fav!
@soozieqt Susan, have you looked on Amazon? The 50mm is really reasonable. The macro lens are expensive. That's why I got the macro tubes instead. I used birthday money or I wouldn't have either one. :0)
You know, I have, and the 50 for my pentax k-r is like 360 which isn't as bad as my macro was but right now, I have so many extra things I'm paying for that I will have to wait. I've read that canon lenses tend to be more reasonable than other brands so I'm kinda stuck. Love my pentax though! :o)
@soozieqt My Canon 50mm was 116.00. I understand why you're waiting. I would have to wait a long time if mine the price you have to pay. I stretched my birthday money from my mom as far as I could. I also tried not to feel guilty about not using it for the house. :0)
@cjwhite Wow! I could make my birthday money work for that price too! How awesome is that! I've also ready that canon lenses are really good glass compared to other brands. Especially for the prices! I'm so happy you got such a good lens at a great price!
what a pretty lady
