Don't blink or you'll lose sight of these little green grasshoppers! I looked away and it was gone!
There are some things that I really don't want to see in macro. When I looked at the pics on the computer, I noticed something was a little different as the pics progressed. Then I realized what it was! Grasshopper poop! Eeewww! I started to post one in my other album, but I didn't want to gross anybody out or offend anyone. :0)
Great focus and DOF ... I am always caught out lining up the image, taking care with focus and composure, one last look up before I press the shutter and then... nothing, subject gone LOL
Great capture - I can't wait until the bugs come back here and I can start taking pics of them again. I can lose a whole day looking at the ground! LOL
But remember this is your project not anyone else's. If you feel the need to post grasshopper turds, then do so. The people who are offended need to get over it. Photography is art and art, such as beauty, is in the eyes of the beholder.
Many times I've posted photos that I think are gorgeous and hardly get more than a tepid response, while other times, I've quickly taken a shot, posted it and it gets rave reviews. Go figure, but it happens all the time.
@webfoot I don't really feel a need to post the grasshopper poop pic. LOL! It was just funny to me at the time. I had been down on my knees on the wet ground shooting pics and had no idea what I was capturing. He was really small and of course, the poop is in perfect focus. :0)
awesome shot! your story about grasshopper poop made me laugh! Last week I took some shots of a squirrel standing up so you could see HIS belly side. He was trying to get at the bird feeder and seemed pretty excited about it. When I viewed them on the computer, I could see how excited he was and I decided not to post that pic :)

Never be afraid to post something that you like.
