I'm glad I took a few pics early today. We had some crazy weather. It was hot and sunny the first part of the day. This afternoon we had two rain and hail storms come through and then it was cool enough for long sleeves.
Our day of yard work was curtailed, which is probably for the best. I've been fighting a cold all week and I think it's won.
This is another Clearwing Moth. They look like tiny hummingbirds flitting around the flowers.

Are these in Georgia do you think? And they are moths but out in the daylight? I want to see one of these! Great shot! We had zero light until about noon....then a bit off and on....storms this evening....just after you I guess.

That is one stunningly beautiful moth!! Love the clear wings. So lovely on that flower. Gorgeous dof. Seems like we're all having strange weather these days.
These creatures amaze me. I hope I get to see one. We have the same weather but I guess you get it a few hours before we do. What is with all the hail storms? In the past, I've gone years without seeing hail.

Your clearwing is on the pp! I don't know why I am up at 5:30 Am when I went to bed at midnight and if it were a school day, I'd be exhausted, longing for more sleep. Go figure. I was looking around and saw it on there and my levitating lady bug pic. I hit shuffle a few times to see if my ladybug pic would appear larger, but after that first sighting of it, it never came back! Just like bugs....fly off when you need them! Congrats on the PP!
