This Monarch was dancing from clover to clover in the late afternoon sun.
Some of you have asked where I find my butterflies. I live out in the country on five acres. Three sides of my yard are surrounded by fields. There are also several small wooded areas in my. fields. Two of the fields are hay fields and have lots of wildflowers in them right now. I find most of my butterflies where things are blooming. Red Clover and Crimson Clover started blooming this week and the bees and butterflies love both. :0)
Thank you soooo much for helping my Dandy Topper pic get to the Top 20!!! :0)
I hope everyone has had a lovely Easter weekend! I had a delicious meal at my Mom's house. Jeff had to work, but he did get off work a little earlier today.
I just noticed the time is wrong on my camera. It was later than 3:18.
Another beautiful shot. They are always amazing. I don't think I have ever seen that many butterflies. It has been so fun for me to look at all your photos.
Beautiful. I have never seen one for real, but am off to an exotic Butterfly Centre later today and hope to catch one there. Not the same as in the wild but heigh ho.
lovely light. I am envious of how many different butterflies there are where you live. There is so little insect or bird life here...Im sure they are in permanent hiding as they are such a big part of the local diet
