I wish there was a way to do this. I would train them to sit still on the prettiest flower for as long as I needed to get my shot. :0)
When I'm standing out in the heat waiting for a butterfly to land, random thoughts go through my head. This is one from today. I know I need to be around people more!
This is a Clouded Sulpher on a red clover.
Thank you so very much for your wonderful comments and faves on yesterday's butterfly!!! It made my day! :0)
Fabulous capture. I think it is GREAT. I was wishing I could tell the birds, the bees, everything to SIT, STAY ; ) I saw a butterfly today--my first. I took the photo of it sitting in the dirt. At least I got it ; )
Chuckled at Nikker's comment. That is what I see her doing now that she has her new camera. If Hubby's not careful she'll find a big piece of that sticky paper so she can begin practicing portrait photgraphy, or even little Avery to get him to sit still long enough, LOL. How long were you waiting for this pose? It turned out great! @nikkers
Another beautiful shot. I love how the edge of the butterfly's wings are the same color as the clover. Excellent detail and close-up. Keep these coming!
Such a beautiful capture! Lovely sulpher and clover! They are all great captures - and you do - work at getting the best shots! appreciate you dedication, Carolyn!
Another outstanding fav. Echoing Elkehochban....it is so amazing how you get them to match the flower. You have the most cooperative butterflies. This is gorgeous.
This is so beautiful. I was told to put sugared water on the flowers and try and get out early as they need to sit and warm up their wings, so if you know where they will be you can try that.
Great find, Stunting capture , And A wonderful pic.
